TODAY'S INTERVIEW: Lip Silveira(12731732)

* OPH’s staff has interviewed Lip Silveira, a new user into Hattrick's world.

* We are going to talk about his first impressions of the game, how he got to know Hattrick and the use of forums in the perspective of users who do not know a lot about Hattrick yet.

Check it out:

OPH: What’s your name? What is your Job?

Felipe: "Hi, my name is Felipe Silveira, I’m a mathematician and I live in Florianópolis, Brazil."

OPH: How did you find out about Hattrick?

Felipe: "About 4 years ago a relative of mine showed me the game. At that moment I did not like it, especially because of the graphs.

In May this year I was looking for an online football management game and then I found Hattrick. I saw that it had good comments and it had been around for many years so I decided to register to see if I liked it. I am enjoying it a lot :) "

OPH: What goals do you want to achieve with your team?

Felipe: "As in every game I play, I want to be one of the best. I have noticed that there are many clubs in Brazil and in the world that have existed for quite a long time, so my aim at the moment is to rise as much as possible.

I want to earn money and I want to have a good team too. Maybe one day I can be one of the best teams, but I know it may take some time with only one match per week."

Fun Fact:

Felipe has excelled in the Ladder Tournament for season 52. At the moment he is in the 6th position amongst 1.383 managers, the best Brazilian manager in the ranking.

He has a record of 33 wins in 35 matches and is the leader of the ranking with 26 consecutive wins.

OPH: What is your impression about Hattrick?

Felipe: " I love the game, because it matches my work area (Math). Hattrick is a game of numbers and statistics.

There are several matches a week, I even entered a World Tournament (Ladder Tournament Season 52) with users who started in the same season as me and I am in the top 20."

OPH: When you started in the game, did you have a tutor or did you do it all by yourself?

Felipe: "When I started I read the manual, but I learned a lot by making mistakes

I bought expensive players because I didn’t see the transfer compare tool, I hired a lot of staff and had players above what I needed. Only later I realized that my group had only 4 active users.

I was afraid of being demoted, but then I realized I was playing in the last division of my country."

OPH: How about the training and the tactics?

Felipe: "I keep the same training since I started in the game – wings. I think it is the best because I can play 2-5-3.

I think wings is the best for 2-5-3. Maybe I can try other trainings, but first I need to see my future series, maybe I will have to play 5-5-0 (laughs)."

Fun Fact:

Felipe spends four hours a day connected to HT and prefers to play at night - preferably after midnight (*) - because he believes that it is the best time to buy players in order to sell them at other times to have profit. This has been one of his major income sources.

(*) The time difference between HT and Brazil is currently 5 hours.

OPH: How do you buy players?

Felipe: "I like to login late at night because players are cheaper then."

OPH: What is your opinion about Hattrick Supporter?

Felipe: " I think I will be willing to buy Hattrick Supporter in the future, for now I am still getting used to all the features, reading about the game. When I started I got some free supporter and I thought it was great.”

OPH: About the youth team, do you know how to use it?

Felipe: "When I opened my youth academy I realized that it is an important mechanism of the game (in real life too). At first I was a little lost because it did not show the skills, but I slowly noticed that training is needed for them to be revealed.

When you recruit new players they come with some skills already revealed but there is always something to discover.

From what I noticed the youth players have little value even when promoted very young, but with good training you can have enough profit or at least get good players for the team."

OPH: About player specialties, did you learn what the best position for each speciality is? Where did you get that information?

Felipe: " I read the whole manual and I think it is – together with the rules – one of the most important parts to be read by users like me who are starting in the game."

[Editor's note:We removed the part with specialties. You can find anything you want on the manual (/Help/Rules/)]

OPH: Do you know any complementary tools for Hattrick? Have you heard about them?

Felipe: " I read something about it, but I'm still not interested. I'm sure once I get used to the game I will look for more tools to improve my team and to better understand the game mechanism, as it is one of the sections I do not fully understand. From what little I read it seems to be very complex. (I love challenges so I am enjoying the game)."

National Team:

OPH: Have you ever heard about National Teams? What is your opinion about their importance to Brazil’s development in Hattrick?

Felipe: " Yes, I looked at the National Team pages. I think it would be cool to help but now I want to study the game further. I do not know about the importance, but it must be nice to represent your country."

OPH: Do you know what a scout is?

Felipe: " Yes, I saw it on the NT page. They are the users who are in charge of each position."

OPH: Would you like to participate in some way and help the team in the short term?

Felipe: "In the short term, no. I think it is important to learn a little more about the game and improve my team. If I learn from more experienced users how to help the team and if it is within my reach of knowledge and time I will do so."

OPH: Thanks, Felipe. We might have another interview soon to measure your progress in the game. Good Luck!

Good Luck!

Felipe: " I appreciate the opportunity to be interviewed and hope I can learn more about HT."
